My Users
All Users management is done in this My Users module.
As each user must be attached to a User Group, if you plan to create users who won't be ADMIN of the account, you should first create a User Group in the My User Groups module.
Life Cycle of a User
When you create a new User, its status will be NEW.
Create a user
- Press the “Add” button at the top/right of the screen
- Fill in all required data. The “Role” corresponds to the User Group. User groups define access rights related to all users belonging to that user group. More info about User groups: My User Groups
Once the user is created, there are 2 options:
- Send him/her an invitation. He/she will receive an email with a link, that will allow him/her to set his/her password. Once done, its status will be set to ACTIVE. Note that the link has a validity of 1 day.
- Alternatively, you can choose to set the password for the user. In this case, don't forget to change its status to ACTIVE manually.
NB:
- Only ACTIVE users can access the IOT Platform
- The user list shows ACTIVE users by default. There is an option, at the top/left of the list, to view NEW and/or ARCHIVED users as well.
