Share a device and use a shared device

Devices and smart devices can be shared with other accounts or solutions. Acquired devices and smartdevices can be used in the same way as account devices and smartdevices.

As a superuser, a ‘Share’ button appears in the device module. This allows you to share a device between solution accounts.

When you click on the ‘Share’ button, a modal window asks you to select one or more solutions with which you want to share your device.

The shared device always belongs to the account from which it is shared.

To use a shared device in an account, go to the devices module and open the ‘Shared device’ option in the “Actions” toolbox. Select the device you want to add to the list of shared devices. The shared device always belongs to the owner account. It cannot be modified; it can only be deleted from the account that acquired it.
