Static Lists
The Static List module allows the creation of time series that are not the result of data from Devices. It is possible to either manually encode data via this module, or to import a CSV file, the template of which is also available here.
Static lists are time series that can be used in the evaluation of Smart Devices, in Rules and in Dashboards.
2 types of Static List can be created:
- Time Series
- Planning
Time Series
Time Series static lists allow you to define and manage time-based data, including one or more “measurements.” Each entry in the list includes:
- Date-Time: The timestamp of the data.
- Data Series: The measurements, which include:
- Measurement Type: The nature of the data being recorded.
- Value: The numerical value of the measurement.
- Unit (Optional): The unit of measurement (e.g., kWh, €).
Use Cases
Time Series lists can be utilized for various purposes, such as:
- Tracking Energy Prices: Record the evolution of energy consumption prices over time. This data can be used to calculate costs relative to monthly or annual energy consumption.
- Analyzing Production Data: Encode production data to analyze energy consumption per production unit.
Creating a Time Series
Follow these steps to create a new Time Series:
- Access the Add Function:
- Click on the Actions menu and select Add.
- Configure Main Settings:
- In the Main tab:
- Name: Enter a name for your Time Series.
- Type: Select Time-Series.
- Status: Set to Active.
- Description: Provide a brief description.
- Intraday Option: Select if needed for more granular data tracking.
- In the Values tab:
- Label: Enter a label for the measurement.
- Unit (Optional): Specify the unit of measurement.
- Increasing value: Activate rules to ensure values are increasing, if applicable.
- Click Save to finalize the setup.
- Edit Data:
- Click Edit to open the data edition form.
- Date: Enter the date and time of the measurement.
- Values: Input the measurement values.
- Units: Specify the units, if applicable.
- Use the control buttons to modify, add, or delete measurements as needed.
- Click Save to finalize the setup.
- Use the Actions add type menu to modify the data model.
- Utilize the Action Export and Import functions to upload your Time Series data.
By following these steps, you can effectively create and manage Time Series data to track and analyze various metrics over time.
Planning
A Planning type Static List allows the creation of a schedule of opening hours (offices, factory), working days, operating hours of a machine. A Planning Static List allows to define the Open/Closed hours by day of the week. For example, define the opening hours of a building, from 08:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Friday.
Planning type Static Lists can be used, for example, to:
- Calculate the occupancy rate of offices or meeting rooms during working hours
- Calculate energy consumption during working hours, and outside working hours.
- Trigger alerts (via the Rules Module) when detecting consumptions or presence outside working hours
Planning Creation
Click the Add button on the upper/right corner. Select “Planning” as a Static List type. By default, the planning will set a zero value when closed. And the Opening Hours are from 07:00 till 18:00, from Monday till Friday. This can be changed at creation time.
In order to add more timeslots, press the Edit button. You can then correct opening hours (edit by pressing the pencil icon), and add time slots or days (press the “+” button).
