Dashboard (devices)

2 Dashboard modules are available.

  1. The module available in the Assets application allows you to build dashboards for your Assets.
  2. There is also a second module, available in the Devices Management application, which allows the development of “technical” dashboards around your devices and smart devices.

A dashboard allows the visualization of data from your Devices. It consists of widgets, namely different data visualization components (graphs, table, list, image, geographical map, etc.). It is possible to configure selectors (devices, date) in order to allow the visualization of a dashboard for a specific device from a list, or on other dates. By default, a dashboard is only visible to its creator. By activating the “Share” option, and then configuring the dashboards visible to a User Group, it is possible to define who can view each dashboard.

The Dashboard module allows the creation of several dashboards.

The creation of a dashboard is done via the control button, at the top right of the screen: “Add a dashboard”.

Each dashboard consists of one or more widgets, which can be added via the “Add a widget” option.

The widget can then be moved and resized using the mouse.

1. Create a simple dashboard

  1. Specify the name that will appear
  2. Do not specify a template
  3. Description: optional field
  4. Refresh rate: if you want a regular automatic update.
  5. Device Selector and Date Selector: leave all options unselected
  6. Sharing: Allows, if selected, to define in the My User Groups module who can access this dashboard. By default, all users in your User Group will have access to a shared Dashboard.

The Device Selector allows the user the select a device in a list, at the top of the screen. It if possible to select devices based on an Device Type, and/or based on a Tag. For example, all ems-desk from Elsys (device type) that have a tag “Belgium”.

Date Selector

All Widgets that should react/adapt to a Device or Date selector must be configured with the Device Selector in the Data Source section, and in the Time Frame section of the widget configuration screen.
