====== How do I send a downlink to a device? ======


The CMD panel on the **Device Module** allows you to send a downlink to the device.
To do this
  * Select the "payload" parameter and enter the payload value.
  * Click on the "+" icon.
  * Then click on "Send".
You can enter several values.
We do not manage the size of the payload. Please refer to the technical specifications of the device.


A combobox asks if you want to save the downlink command for future use. 
Saved downlink commands are linked to the device type.
Saved downlink commands can be used by control widgets.

Downlink commands sent appear in the CMD command history.

The downlink is sent to the network server declared in the account settings.
The network servers concerned are

The downlink panel of the **Rules Module** allows you to send a downlink to the device whenever an alert is triggered.
To do this
  * Activate the option.
  * Select a device.
  * Enter the payload value.
  * Enter the port number.
  * Then click on "Send".
